A science camp was organized by Government Polytechnic Seithekema C Dimapur Catalysed & supported by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology (NCSTC Division) on 28th June 2022 at Tiyi Hall, Wokha Town on the topic “Science & Technology popularization among ST popularization of Nagaland”. A total of 13+ schools participated in the event with a turnout of around 150+ students and teachers.
The event began with introduction of the guests and welcome address delivered by Er. Zhapulhoulie Rupreo, Principal, Government Polytechnic Seithekema C Dimapur. Mr. S.M. Faizani, CEO, Fairy Touch India gave the keynote address about the Science Camp. Thereafter, speech was delivered by the Chief Guest to the event, Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu, Additional Director, Technical Education Nagaland who shared about the involvement of Science & Technology in our day to day lifestyle and also reassured the commitment of the Technical Education Department, Nagaland in motivating the youngsters into science.
The inaugural program witnessed a special song presentation by Mr. Kumlanthung L Murry and vote of thanks delivered by Er. Imlitongzuk Jamir, Principal Investigator for the science camp.
The resource person, Prof. Dr. J.V. Shanmukha Kumar, KL University Andhra Pradesh performed hands on experience of science related to chemistry in day to day activities. An interactive session on Internet & Online Services in line with Digital India was conducted by Er. Sachin Kumar Chaturvedi, Founder (Anuragyam) & President (Plesse Help Foundation). Thereafter, resource person Mr. S.M. Faizani, CEO Fairy Touch India delivered Expert Lecture on Soap Making who demonstrated the entire process in front of the participants.
The participants gave valuable & honest feedbacks about the entire event and shared their experiences. Certificate of participation was distributed to all the participants present and the science camp ended on a positive note with many takeaways and learning from the event. Er. Ronchamo Murry, Mr Sulanthung N Ngullie and Mr. Akruse Kruse are the faculty of Polytechnic, Dimapur they support to organizing above science camp. The vote of thanks and concluding remarks was delivered by Er. Imlitongzuk Jamir.
